Hack guild Brand Identity

With a long history of working with non-profits and helping others, this project was very close to my heart. Working with such a passionate client allowed us to teach each other more about our industries while educating their community .

HackGuild is a 501c3 nonprofit founded on the principles of inclusivity, accessibility, and education. They aim to provide all women and disadvantaged minorities hands-on experience with programming and computer science. I was approached to create a logo and branding for their social media, website, and other materials. The chevron is a prominent symbol in computer science and coding that I used to brand their message.

research

In order to understanding the industry of computer science and coding, a lot of research into the language and tools they use if necessary. Some coding from HTML and CSS allowed me to connect some elements that could be the building blocks for their brand.

Experimentation

The first draft is to combine the symbols of computer science with modern type. Using language to reflect their brand message: to bridge the gap between minority groups in the computer science field.
